s part of my work at Arrow in Austin, Texas, I had the opportunity to redesign the logo for the Texas Exes, the alumni association of The University of Texas at Austin. With a legacy spanning over 135 years, Texas Exes is one of the largest alumni associations in the world. The challenge was to create a modern, cohesive brand identity that would resonate with alumni while preserving the rich history and tradition of the Longhorn Nation.
Through an extensive brand audit, including surveys, focus groups, and interviews, I identified strong brand recognition but inconsistent messaging and outdated visual elements. My design solution involved creating a refreshed logo and visual identity that bridges the gap between tradition and innovation, ensuring the Texas Exes remain relevant and connected to both long-time members and new generations of alumni.
